Terms & Conditions
Hiring or ordering services from Cherry Lane Events & Entertainment is subject to agreement of the Terms and Conditions as laid out below:
The client, you, (as detailed in the booking form and all communications) agrees acceptance of the Terms and Conditions when hiring from Cherry Lane Events & Entertainment.
A written quotation, by way of e mail will be supplied, at the point of booking, by us detailing all information regarding the event. It is the client’s (the person booking the hire or service) responsibility to ensure that these are correct. Unless otherwise advised, 50% of the payment is due on booking as well as a signed Terms and Conditions document to secure Cherry Lane Events & Entertainment for your chosen date.
The remaining 50% is due 30 days before the actual event date.
If you cancel your event, for whatever reason, and subject to the full amount having been paid, the following will apply:
If you cancel your event 30 days or more of your event: 50% of the deposit will be refunded to you.
If you cancel your event 30 days or less of your event: no refund will be payable.
Whilst this is unlikely, should we have to cancel a booking due to circumstances beyond our control (i.e. Covid lockdown, extreme weather etc) any deposit and monies paid will be refunded in full. We will attempt to provide a substitute for the event, but cannot guarantee this and will not be held liable in such an occurrence. However, we retain the right to refuse to hire and give no refund should we discover the venue is unsuitable or that access is not allowed or dangerous in any way.
If the event is to be held in a marquee and it is discovered that the marquee is leaking in any way we wholly reserve the right to cease setup and leave due to the nature of health and safety where electrical equipment is being hired (items with lights).
Payable by BACS unless otherwise agreed but we do not accept cheques.
Payment details to be provided on receipt of booking form, signed and e mailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Sufficient time must be allowed for us to setup equipment which will vary depending on the service/items being hired.
If the function area is not located on the ground floor or is a substantial distance from the unloading area then please advise us in advance.
It is your responsibility to ensure that the item(s) booked are suitable for the venue and for your event. No refunds, part or full, will be given for non-use of items/equipment that cannot be used due to any restrictions.
It is your responsibility to make sure that there is adequate provision of electrical power within ten metres of our set-up point. We require a minimum of 2 x 13amp outlets dedicated purely for our equipment (not in the form of an extension lead). Any damage caused to our equipment by an inadequate power supply or power interruption will be invoiced to you.
Delivery/collection at 50p per mile (drop off return, pick up return)
Balloon clear up/disposal fee is an extra £15 if you would like me to remove or dispose of balloons. This is payable in advance and refunded if you carry this out yourselves before any hire equipment is to be collected, date/time agreed on booking.
Damage waiver: If any equipment such as the balloon display easel, disk, flower wall or arch structures are damaged in anyway, the £15 disposal fee will be retained and the following costs in addition:
Flower wall, Display easel &/or disk, Balloon arch bases x 2 and foldable/elasticated poles, stands and backdrops, each item is chargeable at £75 per item, if they are found to be damaged on collection.
Under no circumstances may you or your guests tamper, move, interfere or touch any equipment owned by us. Any damage caused by a third party will be invoiced directly to you.
It is your responsibility to ensure that your guests conduct themselves in a proper manner at all times. Furthermore, you are responsible for all guests and their actions.
Any damage caused by unruly or alcohol related person or persons to be invoiced to yourself.
We will not be held responsible for you or your guests being hurt or damage to clothes when near or touching any part of our equipment. We cannot be responsible for guests suffering from any illness or allergy.
